Welcome to Pacific Coast Genomics where we specialize in throughput DNA Extraction and Targeted Sequencing Design Services

Our Offerings

DNA Extraction Services

DNA Extraction Pilot Program

DNA Extraction Pilot Program

We do high quality DNA Extraction resulting in 5 to 200 ng of DNA depending on the workflow for around $1/sample.  Our Hi-Nuclea workflow uses pneumatic homogenization and results in 20 to 200 ng of DNA/ul offered as a Service for ~$1/sample.  We can currently process up to 2,000 samples per day.

Submit 8 to 16 samples today for pilot extraction to evaluate our Hi-Nuclea (Higher Quality) or Di-Nuclea (Direct Lysis) workflows for DNA concentration and qPCR amplification quality.  From there you can decide to send samples to our Service Lab or purchase solutions to bring the workflow in-house.

Amplicon Sequencing Panel Design

Amplicon Sequencing Panel Design

Amplicon Sequencing Panel Design

We do a range of designs for amplicon sequencing ranging from 50 to 5,000 amplicons for multiple crops including complicated polyploid designs.

We also have Pre-Made Panels for you to try for crops including Wheat, Maize, Strawberry, Blueberry, Pepper, Tomato, Onion, Pine, Bean, Barley.

qPCR Single Marker Design

Amplicon Sequencing Panel Design

Amplicon Sequencing Panel Design

We offer qPCR and Single Marker Services for as little as $1.50 per sample per marker.

We offer single marker design services as well as several pre-made designs for crops like Wheat, Maize and Strawberry and Bovine markers for predicting milk production in Dairy Cattle.

DNA Extraction Services

High Quality DNA Extraction for $1/Sample

Feel free to reach out about trying our Services and DNA extraction workflows.  Our Hi-Nuclea extraction workflow results in high yields of high quality DNA at a lower cost than kits for as little as $1/sample.

Our simpler Direct Lysate based formulation (Di-Nuclea) is a crude based extraction with a quicker workflow with more limited downstream uses like PCR and qPCR.

We have tested Hi-Nuclea on a range of crops with DNA concentrations ranging from 10 to 200 ng/ul of high quality DNA acceptable for PCR, qPCR or Sequencing workflows.  We can currently process up to 24 x 96-well plates per day.

You can submit samples for evaluation in our Pilot Extraction Program today, feel free to reach out at grant@pacificcoastgenomics.com

Hi-Nuclea is our high quality DNA extraction service that results in higher quality DNA.

About Pacific Coast Genomics

Our Story

Pacific Coast Genomics was founded in 2025 by Dr. Grant Poole with the goal of developing cost effective and accurate Genomic solutions through the application of effective single marker and targeted sequencing solutions focused on specific genomic targets of interest.

Dr. Poole served as a Global Product Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific from 2022 to 2024 leading the development of many of the Pre-Designed Crop Genotyping NGS based solutions.  A webinar summarizing this work can be found at  Design of Ready to Use Advanced Crop Genotyping Solutions

At PCG we realize a large part of effective scalable solutions hinge on the ability to extract DNA with adequate quality for downstream uses including PCR, qPCR, NGS Sequencing and Microarray based genotyping applications.

We also focus on the Design of new and effective genomic targets for researchers that may or may not have specific SNP targets in mind helping researchers to move from SNP or Variant discovery toward routine screening.
